My chaeto ball started out the size of a nickel

Sponge that popped up almost overnight.

Please excuse the macro bits. Still working on getting it cleaned up proper.

Found a couple new hitchhikers last night while the lights were out. The first was a run of the mill bristle worm. The second worm was a little different. It had iridescent green spots running down the side. It was very quick when it found out it was under a flashlight. Today I found a small tube leading from the sand to my LR where I saw the worm last night.

My AI nano should be shipping today. Spoke with a gentleman at saltys to confirm the address. I'm thinking they don't get many orders from Alaska cause he knew my name and order right away. Awesome customer service might I add. Looks like by this weekend I should be able to stock a few zoas or other softies.

My wife saw an itty bitty rbta at the lfs that she liked. Not real sure I wanna risk an anemone just yet. My bacterial colony is only a month n a half old. I'm on the fence whether or not to get some more live rock for the display.

I'm a noob too and everything I've read says nem's shouldn't be kept in tanks younger than 6mos to a year. But then again I read a lot of stuff that contradicts other stuff. Not that I know alot just passing on some of the research I've done.

Yeah I've read that too. The last time I put together a nano I had a nem in it at about a month. Granted I had alot less volume and less stable parameters then. All the good luck I'm having this time around.... Not sure I wanna press my luck.

I think my chaeto is starving out my other macro. The chaeto is growing and all other macro seems to be dieing off. I know my current lighting isn't the best I'm sure that is an attribute to the die off. I have to leave my lights on at least 12 hours a day to get any alge to grow on the rocks. I know most don't want alge on their rocks but I'm trying to keep some cultivated to keep my cuc happy and healthy. I have to pick up a small assortment of shells for my hermits this weekend. Had a case of hermit on hermit eviction and homicide last night.

My light should be delivered today as long as my son keeps an eye out for ups. ( crossing my fingers )

My pod population is 10 times what I thought it was. I have a heavy population of tiger pods and a growing population of free swimming pods. Is there such thing as too many?
