My new 130 gallon is pretty well set up. Param's are all good. Life is good. Time to start thinking for adding some fish now that the transfer is complete. Not rushing, just starting to think.

    Tank System Stats...
    130gal Display Tank
    40 gal sump/refuge
    Light: Current USA 48" - 324 Watts - (3x54 Watt 10K Daylight + 3x54 Watt 460nm Actinic)
    1000 GPH return pump
    Approx 150lbs live rock
    Octo-XP2000 Skimmer
    AquaController Junior
    ATO
    Heaters/Chiller
    Dual GFO/Carbon Media
Three Part Dosing Ca/Alk/Mg with AquaMedic Dosing Pump

Coral Live Stock: Frogspawn, Acans, Yellow Polyps, Rics, assorted shrooms, zoas, bubble tip

Fish Live Stock: 2 Blue Damsels, 1 True Perc Clown, McCosker Wrasse, Leopard Wrasse, Purple Dottyback

    Now to the questions:

I am thinking of adding a Powder Blue Tang and a Blonde Naso Tang. Thoughts or special tips on these fish?? Any other cool suggestions??

For this mix of fish live stock, what brand of food would you recommend?? I plan to set it up on a automatic feeder and then occassionally treat and augment with frozen mysis or something else. What would you auto-feed? What would you treat??

    Thanks
    Mark

I wouldn't auto feed, especially not with a overflow.

When it comes to tangs they should always be the last fish and they go in at the same time or they will attack a new tang to the tank. They also attack angels and butterflies so get your ducks in a row before you put them in.
As far as auto feeding I've never used one but if I did I would do what I do now. I take a variety of flake foods and put them together so they get different tastes. I use Ocean Nutients flakes of spiralina, prime reef, formula one, formula two, brine shrimp and some dry cyclopeeze flakes of a different brand.
You do have some tough fish there with the two blue damsels. If your planning on getting an angel put him in before the tangs and he'll be fine. Good luck!:cheesy:

I just got a Swallowtail Angel (completely reef safe!) and would recommend one to any fellow aquarist.
