Currently I have a 72g with a 20L sump and 55ish lbs of live rock. I am slowly adding another 20-30lbs. When I am done I would like to add 1-2 more fish before making the turn to a reef tank. My stock list looks like this: 2-Occellaris Clowns, 1-neon dottyback, 1-Powder Brown Tang(birthday present, I know, I know...)

I have been looking at the Lamarcks Angel. That would give me roughly 24 inches of adult fish. Is that too much for my tank? Works out to a 3-1 gallon to inch ratio.

The other fish I have been looking at is a green clown goby. Would it be acceptable to keep all of these fish together? Am I overstocking?

My feeding schedule is a small amount of frozen shrimp every 1-2 days and nuri added to a clip 5-6 days a week. All of my food is soaked in garlic for the tangs health(although I am sure it helps the other fish).

    Thanks in advance.

I would consider the advice of any inches-to-gallons ratio to be completely irrelevant. It doesn't account for nearly any of the factors that create pollutants in the water.

Ok well without the ratios, would I be able to add those 2 fish eventually?

I have no clue. I've never had an angelfish at all before, so I don't know how active they are, how much they eat, etc.

I can tell you that a clown goby would definitely be ok, since it's a tiny fish.

I am just looking for some diversity is all. I like the look of the clown goby and it is small. My sand bed is only 1.5-2inches deep so it eliminates a lot of the jawfish/blennies I had looked at.
