I have had my 29 gallon JBJ Nano Cube running since late Febuary. Between getting married and moving to a new house I havent stocked the tank with livestock yet. Its does have a couple coral frags. Question is local LFS is having a huge sale buy 2 fish get one free. Can I add two clowns and another small fish in one day without overloading my system?

Do you have any shrimp, snails or hermit crabs in there yet?

I have 3-5 snails and 2-3 hermits. They have been in for around a month.

How old is the tank? If it's young I wouldn't add 3 fish all at once.

It's been up since late Feb... I would say 8-10 weeks.

I've done it, although I also don't recommend it. You will need some kind of ammonia neutralizer (Amquel+ or Prime) to deal with the ammonia spike that will occur. How much of a spike depends on how much live rock you have in the tank. You will have some biological filter already because of the snails and hermits, but not enough to fully control the extra bio load that you will be adding. That's why I recommend either Prime or Amquel+.
After adding the fish, you will need to spend the next 2 weeks testing for ammonia (and to a slightly lesser degree Nitrite) and adding Amquel+/Prime as needed until the biological filter catches up. You might also need to do a couple of 50% water changes (usually once every 3 days until the ammonia starts to decline if it's too high) if the ammonia/nitrite stays elevated (even with the daily addition of Amquel+/Prime).
Again, I don't recommend it but it can be done if you are willing to keep up on the daily testing of Ammonia/Nitrite and adding Amquel+/Prime.
