The colors are awesome and they are supposed to be loaded with personality. So I say it was good.

If you can try to make some more overhangs, caves, and hiding spots the betta can hide in;) Then it will be more comfortable and come out more often.

My hawk has definitely become the king of my tank, and fast. I dont think you'll have a problem though, your fish are a bit bigger than mine. An anthias would be great, but they have special feeding reqs and dont do well alone. they need small, frequent feedings, not one, big feeding.

Ya i think it would be easy for me to feed an anthias, all i have to do it put some prepared foods theought the day, thats not too difficult. :) and my flame is kinda wierd. He sits in the wierdest spots and seems kinda scared... Probably the gobys fault. Haha

They like to sit in the weirdest spots and are shy and cautious so it will be a while before it stops jumping.

Haha ya im a little sad, he likes to hide more then i thought. We really wanted him to perch on top of our rock structure, and my mom loved him, and he was bright red so thats kinda uncommon :) hes one of those fish that my mom can see from the kitchen so he is probably her favorite. Hopefully he becomes more confortable... I know i would be scared of a betta, venemous fox, and eel lookin thing ;) haha

Lol yep, mine sits in the middle of my power head. Try spot feeding the fish. Bring it out to the center slowly and if he gets scared, try again, but more gentle. As time goes on, and you keep doing this, he will come up to the front every time you walk by because he thinks there is food. It worked for my wrasse when I first had it but that's a much less shy fish. He used to stay in the crevices of rocks all the time, I had no idea where he was.
