Guys I think have may have spoken too soon... Just went to go check on them and now the original clown that I've had for about 3 days scares away the new clown everytime he comes in his corner... Is this just its way of establishing dominance or should I be worried?

Normal, there has to dominance. One clown should be doing a shaking type of movement to show that it is passive. If the clown does this the dominate clown usually does not get too aggressive. My large female will some times slam the male if he tries to eat before her. As long as there is no nipping of the fins going on you should be ok. It is perfectly natural for there to be some bickering until they figure out who is boss.

Might be a dumb question but how can I tell if he's nippin fins?... I just know that when i went to check on them last, when the new clown would come to the orginals corner the original clown would i guess try and bite him or atleast swim quickly towards the new clown...

You can basically tell if bullying has gone too far by tattered fins, one clown hiding and breathing heavy and refusal to eat. It is common for clowns to spat especially when introduced to each other. It usually takes days for them to figure out who is the top clown. Watch for the shaking movement and you will see submissive behavior that is part of clownfish communication.

Oh ok, I understand what you are saying... Guess I just have to wait it out a few days huh?...

As far as the shaking movement you are referring to... I've seen a video of it so will know what to look for...

Guess I will keep waiting and keep you updated on the scenario, thanks for all the help!

The clown looks to be behaving in typical clown fashion to me. FOWLR tanks can be as low as 1.022, that's where I kept mine for about 20 years with no issue. Clowns can act in a way that some folks consider strange. Some will hang in a corner for weeks, some are swimmers. If he's not respirating fast and shallow, he's just fine.

One thing that does concern me, though--unless I saw it wrong, is that the far edges of the tank seem to hanging off the sides of the furniture? Also, is that a tank stand? If you don't have 100% of the tank's trim firmly on a surface, you're asking for major water issues (on the floor, I mean.) If that's a dresser and not a stand built specifically for a tank, that's also very risky. I don't mean to sound dramatic, but these two issues are serious. Hopefully I'm just seeing it wrong. I've made that mistake before on a member's photos. :)

Whoa, I didn't see that the first time. You are right, it is hanging off the sides. Yikes!
