looking at your fluid dynamics link, like i said in theory it will work great it just always makes me nervous when someone removes a support. it really depends on the tank quality you start with. some use the corner braces to transfer the pressure to top and bottom frame. Since someone else has done this successfully I would just see what brand of tank they bought and go the same way if possible.
