    I took my background off and wedged my head behind the tank. (don't laugh, you all have probably done it) He is short and stubby and not well spread out. If he dies its FOWLR for me! You all have probably said that too, but it didn't last.

    if it's that hard too see and u really don't think it's doing well then IMO i'd move him where i could monitor him better, maybe try to get him to take hold and then feed him. if it's getting good light and good food it might stay put.

    I moved the rock from above and around him but left the ones that were in contact with him so I wouldnt disturb him too much. I will leave him to hopefully let him get comfortable tonight. Then if he looks better I will try and feed tomarrow. Will update.
    Thanks

    they are very touchy animals. they stress easily. when i got my first BTA i being real fussy with him but i realized he does better on his own then when i was constantly picking at him.
    have you tried to feed him?
    some people say do not feed them for awhile but if he eats and hes scarfing it down why not? keeps his strength up right.

    here if you are a visual person like i am maybe this website will help you like it helped me. it is for BTA but they all look the same when they are bleached/dispelling/dying

    48w over 16in deep tank.

    What exactly is the lighting? 48w of PC is not comparisble to 48w of T5.
    I personally think its acting weird because you dont have enough light.

    Fishpoop--> no moonlight

    Phoenix--> T5 lighting 10k, and 460nm actinic

    Since I moved the rock yesterday to visualize him and let him be he looks much better today. Pretty well expanded. tentacles much more inflated. Color not bleached. ;D

    It must really take alot out of them to move. He seriously stayed almost like he was sleeping all day yesterday after he moved halfway across the tank. Hope all stays well. May try to feed tonight or in the A.M.

    Thanks.
    Pic later.

    My green bubble went through much the same thing, and I thought it was dying/dead. Mouth was gaping open, tenticles all deflated, and looked very ragged. The next morning, he was somewhat more inflated (half way) and I fed it half a silverside, and it went lively right away. Been healthy looking ever since.

    48w of t5 must mean you have 2 bulbs - not enough imo
