    Hey everyone,

My tank is 60 days old. Received and inserted 14 frags this past Tues. KH as of a few minutes before acclimating the corals was 125.3ppm. Tested just today after a 5gal. water change on Thurs.(my weekly interval).Using IORC salt for an SG of 1.025. KH is down to 107.4ppm.Obviously it's too low. My Ca has remained the same at 440ppm. Frags are mostly sps monti's with 2 Zoa's(5+ polpys),1 yellow leather,1 rainbow Acan with a few heads.

Is this a result of the corals doing their thing? Oh yeah,I also added two occelaris clowns and 3 nassarius snails yesterday if it matters.

Should I dose? If so,what in particular is recommended.LFS sells ESV which is something I was looking into anyway. Thanks in advance for any help.

Wow tank is 2 months old and you added 14 frag in one shot. Besides what else is your tank that is too much for such a short time IMO. Your tank is still early in it's cycle.

ESV is what I use for all my dose. You will need to dose, but do it slow.

    What's your magnesium?

Thanks for the response Computer John! I didn't intend to add so many at once. I ordered a rainbow Acan through Ebay with a free sunrise Zoa...long story short, the seller sent me a bunch of frags to make-up for tartiness.

Don't have a Mag test kit yet,I know shame on me.Waiting for the red sea kits to upgrade em all. I'm guessing your using the 2 part Ca and ALk from ESV?

On a side-note you have any problems with your Fluval heater? I have the same exact model you do from your sig. Namely I'm refering to the inability to change temps. when the water is at a certain level. At times I'll move the adjuster and the screen will flash indicating recognition but as I continue to move the dial it won't adjust. This is Intermittent however. I've had the heater for over a year so it's out of warranty.
