I am putting together a 30g fuge with all the necessary plumbing. The only information I cannot find is the type of cement to use with the PVC. I am presuming that regular PVC cement will suffice.

    Thanks.......John

Yes all are th same unless you go with the rain and shine but if you use the regular cleaer stuff you have to prime it first to start the fusingweld process give it a few hrs to cure and you are good to go I usualy wait 1 to 2 hr's before adding pressure to the piping.

How do you prime it? Don't you just paint it on and attach the fixtures?

Well look for a can of PVC primer it comes in Purple or clear I use purple out of habit and it allows you to be sure its a good priming and not missed spots . I also would tell you to ream out the inside of the end cuts of the pipe to remove the burr it will catch build up and slow flows . And a little fast sanding of the outside will remove that burr also and ensure better connection in the hub . Oh also prime inside the fittings I prime all my fittings at once and have them ready to go..
