I just hooked up my new sump, i was previously using a wet/dry. The inlet i REALLY bubbling so much i am afraid to run it because of the salt creep.

I have even tried to T of the line giving it a breather pipe but nothing is working.

Is the inlet emptying above or below water level?

    Below. I have tried both.

I even built a 2" tower where the water enters on the side about 1" above the water level.

It sounds like ure getting air into the line at some point, either from the surface of the water in your sump, or theirs a micro leak somewhere in the plumbing, or the protein skimmer is dialing in and is going crazy atm.

I am talking about the Intake from the overflow above. It is creating massive amounts of bubbles. My concern is the salt creep.

Right now the intake dumps into a 2" pipe from the side about 1" above the water level

Ok so i had an idea about a couple different bubble towers. Let me know which one you think will work better.
