    the stand definitely had a lot of room for the sump
    we think it was because we didn't leave any room for the acrylic to expand

    sounds right to me, for glass to crack there has to be pressure from somewhere. when you get some new baffles definitely get a quote from some LGS (like that...... local glass shops) it was only 3 dollars each for 1/4 thick glass cut from a LGS. that said, i also got pretty good at cutting my own glass. just be sure to get some practice
