I have a 20 Long sump, I need to do it over because the silicone came out.
The acrylic I bought was to thin, How thick does the acrylic have to be?
And what silicone would be good to use for this?

GE 1 window and door with no bioseal is 100% reef safe when cured. Do not get GE2.

I would use glass instead. 1/4" is more than HD enough.

    In a glass tank, yes.

I have used ge1 to adhere acrylic together, and it does hold, but the glass held together with silicone is just like a glass tank is built.

Now I suspect your acrylic let loose because it bent too easily. If you had even say PVC braces to limit the movement of the acrylic baffles it probably would have worked.

I used 3/16" acrylic in a glass tank for my sump and have no problems with it. I also picked up aquarium silicone from a local hardware store. You can probably get both at a home depot, lowes or other large home store. If you cant find the aquarium safe silicone be sure NOT to use the silicone that has mold-mildew inhibitor.

Does any body know the exact measurements I would need to cut the glass?
I'm going to a glass shop I have near my house & They do a nice job with glass.
