    Hi guys!
So we were able to snag a nice 55 gall with a nice stand and all. so we're going to start the process of moving our 36 gall bowfront reef tank into that. We're currently running with no sump, and are fairly new to the hobby. We want to start using a sump with a refugium. so basically we're looking for any advice or links to helping us get that process going. any and all help would be greatly appreciated ;D thanks!!

Congrats on the new tank. You have lots of options when building a sump. I would recommend first considering how much room you have to work with in the stand and access to install and maintain it. Then decide if you are going to run a skimmer or other in sump items. I like to leave a bit of extra room for future additions.

That being said, I run an Eshopps and love it. Good luck

I used an Eshopps S-200 for my 55. It was actually 2 inches too wide to fit in my stand so I had to modify the stand to fit. Worked very well though. Otherwise, basically you want to get as large a tank as will fit. You can add pieces of glass (assuming you buy a glass tank for a sump) and make your own baffles.
