I have a 135 gallon tank and I want to consolidate my two sump/pump setup into one larger sump with one Iwaki 100 pump.

I have the pump already, but no sump.

What size should I get? One of mine is an All Glass Aquarium Mega Flow Model 3...will that take the place of both or do I need a bigger one?

Where can I get one real cheap also?

    Thanks!

Anything is big enough as lo0ng as it holds all your equipment and a water level. I had a MF 3. It worked as a sump for me, but I had a EV-120 at the time and it was pretty cramped with that and my chiller pump. There is no set size you "should" get. Get the biggest you can fit in your stand. Get bigger if you have an equipment room. Volume is volume. I have a 60g sump/fuge on my 90g now. If I move to a 180, I would like to turn the 90g into a sump/fuge. Get what you can fit.

Craig's List is the best place for used tanks. In fact, I bought my 60g off CL for $100 and it was already set up as a sump/fuge.

A 135 is a 6 foot tank so I would probably go with a standard 4 foot 55 or 60 gallon myself. I have a 5 foot 100 gallon with a 3 foot 30 gallon under it and the 2 fot of empty stand space is sufficient for most external equipment like a calcium reactor. The one thing I did do is make my stand 24" deep front to back even though the tank was only 18" so I have more space and its not so cramped.

Yeah, you've mentioned that stand AZ. So these are just plain glass tanks without baffles & all? Are they drilled out too or use internal pumps?
