Ok, i am minutes away from begining my plung into REAL reefing with my first sump. I've been planing and replaning and changing everything out as i got, but with a little dremmel, a little flexibility, and a whole lot of brute strength i got it locked up and ready for action. Unfortunately I just KNOW im going to flood the whole house, the tube is going to shoot off, break my 46 gallon, both tanks start on fire and slag the whole house. (^**^& %^&^%$ As i was typing this the %^&* cats pulled out my drain line for the ro top off and COMPLETELY FLOODED THE BATHROOM lol) Ok one flood done hopefully this doesnt come in threes. Anyways, ill put up pics and a movie when I start it for the sake of posterity.

RAWR worked great but im leaking out the overflow drains. Its a dumb design how do i freaking plumb the cpr overflow box.... i have some joints and 'screwed' in some tubing.

in case you miss the asap thread, im a moron. I had the hose screwed into the female end of a pvc coupling, if i swap it for a male end the hose is on the outside and there will be no leak. this is why i like being awake at 2am

Those bulkhead threads are not pipe threads so you can't thread PVC on the outside. Is there threads on the inside and you threaded PVC into it??? How are the hoses held in?

Glad everything went well for you, leakages aside. I'm really worried about when the time comes to start my system up. I'm not a very good DIY person but I had to build my own overflow and sump. I had to silicone the PVC for my overflow and what not myself too so I'm betting there is going to be a LOT of leakages when the time comes. D:

yeah i got 1" pvc on the inside of the crp bulkhead and had a 1 inch female adapter screwed OUTSIDE the pool hose tube when i needed a 1" male adapter INSIDE the pool hose. Its now clamped though it may be overkill and I just loclited the pipe fittings together since they were water tight before and there will be no pressure.
