    That seems like a sound plan! I think starting a quarantine tank when you don't have a sump is like putting $3500 wheels on a cheap imported car.

    I agree completely. 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing. :)

    I tried to make a sump / 'fuge out of a 10g, but found I wouldn't be able to fit everything in it, and still have enough of a resevoir for the pump so it didn't run dry (no auto-top off yet). No leaks are important, and I'd rather have a broken piece of equipment overflow into a sump than onto the floor. It ended up just being a sump with a single divider. Bigger is better, but 'Sparky and Reeron are right: better to have a small sump than none at all.

    When I was a kid, I had a $1000 stereo system in a $150 car (1980 prices)!!! It was an american car though. A 1966 Dodge Dart.
