    also their will be a protein skimmer in the inflow and 2 300w heaters in the sand compartment

    would the skimmer suck up any sand?

    Looks great. Is that as deep as you want the intake compartment to be? If you can raise the skimmer up some and keep the water level a little deeper in compartment one and two you will have more volumn in the fuge compartment giving your macro algea more room to grow and more surface area on it. By the way it looks your pump compartment will still be low if you want it to be. I like the use of baffles looks like it will give you a nice smooth flow with little to no micro bubbles.

    Looks like the double baffle system should keep all flow through the sand compartment going strait forward and if any does manage to back flow it should settle in the bottom between baffles. You might want to move the middle baffle between compartment one and two up just in case something gets down in there. It could restrict flow causing your pump to fun dry or even overflow your dt.

    well the inlet part is 18" deep so dont no as yet, what would u suggest mike and thanks
