Hey guys sorry to post this in the urgent category but I could do with an answer fairly quickly. I bought a new tank, it cane with a sump with three sections, the dividers aren't water tight... Should they be sealed? It's all plastic an the dividers just slot into pre measured slots?

In a word: no. The dividers serve dual purpose of maintaining water level in the skimmer and fuge section, and preventing bubbles from entering the return section. Where the dividers are single walls, they're water level-keepers. Where they're 3 walls, they're called bubble traps.

Since fluids are always moving in your sump, water tightness is not a requirement, although better quality sumps are built in such a way where they are water tight.

You should be fine, but pictures would help us to determine what exactly you have, how it's sectioned, etc. We could then answer you question in a lot more detail. :)
