got a new sunburst bubble tip about 45 days ago. at first was doing really well second day in tank he split.

then both halves were doing great. expanding really big in the light.

then 1 decided to move under the live rock and barely comes out when he does the tips are a dark flat black color has some orange still about half and half.

it used to take krill or silver side pieces but no longer will grab them

the other half is now moved to the back corner and stuck to the wall in a dark area under live rock still has some color but barely expands. will not move and has an anemone crab that stays with him. its very hard to get to this one to try to feed him but he seems to be doing better than the other one.

i have 140 gallon mezzo tank with 2 Acan LED lights sump with refugium and skimmer

the other green bubble tip is doing great. along with my zoas, zenia, frog spwan and hammer. all are doing amazing

did water change and checked water and it is all good

im willing to try anything. dont want them to die

thanks for any help im brand new to this board

The easiest way is to get a photobucket account and post the photo from there because you can post a larger sized photo than using the forums picture attachment.

To attach a photo from your PC click go advance and then select manage attachments and navigate to your picture folder and select the photo you wish to share.

hmm how often do you feed? seems as if the one getting less food is doing better then the problem might be related to your feeding habits. dont forget anemones are photosynthetic creatures, they will enjoy a meal once in a while but dont solemnly rely on it.

How long has the tank been set up and what are your paramaters? An anemone splitting can be a sign of stress. Swisswiss asks a good question. I only feed mine once a week.
