sundial snails

    the other day i found this weird shell in the tank ive never seen it before but i did some researching its a sundial snail it has a real pretty shell but it turns out they have an appetite for zooanthids. maby when i tried some zoos and they didnt last long i thought it was jsut bad luck but it was prolly killed by this guy i dont have a pic of the one i found but found different pics on the internet. there completely flat on the bottom and swril up to a point

    the one i found was red orange and blue so evidently they come in several different colors ive had my tank set up for quite a while and this is the first time ive ever seen this guy so keep an eye out incase you ever run into one

    Good info, thanks...Fortunately I haven't run into that kind of snail!!!I have a different kind of snail problem. Looks like a Nassirus snail but I guess Iit is not good for reefs because they take them out of the tanks at pet shops and feed them to triggers.
