    Hello Everyone !!
I have a 200 gallon tank [Fish only] with a 30 gallon wet/dry sump/protein [sea storm] skimmer with 3 -175 watt,14,000k pendent metal lights and I would like to install a Aquanetics chiller , 1/4 hp 667watts,115v,5.8 amps,400 to 1000GPH. My question is can I tee into recirc.. pump that came with tank [ 25.8 GPM 31.5 Head , Iwaki pump!! And if I tee into main pump will I be able to throttle down water flow without hurting pump and will pump handle chiller ?? or should I buy another pump with a flow switch for chiller !!! Sorry, a lot of questions!!! Can some one show me pic of chiller install !!!

Yes that will be fine if you run the pumps wide open or cut back now then by simple adding a chiller you will have to increase the pumps flows to maintian what you now have . I'd simply add a Tee then a valve ad feed the chiller then outlet chiller over to sump . Tank water looks a little yellow you useing carbon on this system ?

Tangster, The middle bulb was a light for a parking lot :-/that I just stuck in there 175 watts , the left /right bulbs are 175 watts 4000k !! I just bought 3 -175 watt 14000k SPS for $38.00 normal price is $79.00 at that fish place .com, WOW !!!!!!!! What a difference !!! and ''yes'' I read the thread about these lights !! Will take a pic !! Carbon bags are in the sump and one in cascade canister !! Do I need a flow switch in-line for chiller , if I have no flow thru chiller it may freeze up??

I dont have a flow switch for my chillers, dont sound to bad for a lil insurance. I have my chiller power on same power bar as my pumps, so when pumps shut off the chiller shuts off. Correct about running chiller with no flow is a bad thing. Are you planning to put the chiller under cabinet? Chillers require plenty of ventilation and airflow. And your cabinet looks a lil crowded. Is that air bubbles in your tank? I am jealous of your orbit, we are hoping to get one soon. Our tank is in the early stages. Welcome to 3reef.
