Then there shouldn't be any issue with cleaning the tank out and rinsing with ro/di water.Saltwater is a whole different game, not necessarily harder, but if you can eliminate some possible trouble causing variables right from the start, then why wouldn't you?

lol, I never can wait to do anything either, always eager to get it done. I've never had to test for copper, so not real sure how great the tests are, I know I've heard some aren't great. If you're gone drop a lot of money on inverts, I'd start a thread about copper and ask what to do, if its going to be a prob. Chances are it won't but I'd check before I dropped any $$ on shrimp or urchins or a CUC;)

Ok im gomna start a copper thread lol...im hoping since it was used long ago and my freshwater inverts which will die from small amount of copper as well, did not die i should be fine. I actually had over 100 snails and they were a big problem for me lol when i emptied my tank tonight and removed sand there was snails everywhere

+!, I always like to err on the side of caution, but corralline had read and knows TONS more than I on most subjects, but especially this one! Get her filled up and cycling already, geesh! lol
