This is a new product developed by a Canadian company. It is very simmilar to other products now coming available on the market. I'm thinking of giving it a try on my new system. Check it out (an no I have no affiliation with this company at all)

I have used there other product Reef Roids and find it very good

If the bacteria feed on biofilm then why do you need to supplement feed them?

I also run my tanks 79-80F.
