T5 Bulb reconfiguration again

Well I reconfigured my bulbs again in my T5 fixture a buddy on 3reef is kind of facing the same problem. I have 48" 6 bulb fixture and reconfigured my bulbs about 3 to 4 weeks ago and the corals didn't really care for it, mainly my LPS and softies. The old configuration was 4 ATI blue Pluses, GE 6500k, and Fiji Purple. Well the sps loved that configuraton but others did not do so well, started fading and what not. So I just configured the bulbs in this order.

Front
Actinic
Actinic
Blue Plus
Fiji Purple
Aquablue Special
Blue Plus

Putting the actinics over the softies to help them recover and not blast them so much and left the other bulbs with higher PAR over the SPS area of the tank. I thought the actinics in the front would make the tank look bad but it actually looks great. I did learn a valuable lesson, T5s are pretty dang powerful!

 

We'll see how they do in a couple of weeks, may still need to fiddle again but not much of a change.
