I have a 48" long four bulb t5 lighting. Today I got all new bulbs. Everything worked for five minutes. Then two bulbs on the same circuit (first and third bulb from front) stopped working. Please help.

Check the wires and make sure they are all tight. Make sure the bulbs are mounted properly and all connections are clean and dry. Switch bulbs around to see if it is a bulb or the ballast.

Wires are tight. Connection on the prongs are not. I wiggle them around but light just flickers. Is my ballast bad?

Only a small portion, the side furthest from the wires, of light turns on.

Connections seem bad if you are getting flickering when you jiggle the bulbs. Might need to replace the ends or the ballast or both. I would make sure the ends work before getting a ballast. Also switch the bulbs with the good ones to see if it is the bulb.

Tried different bulbs, not the issue. Can I purchase new ends at a hardware store?
