T5 lighting question

Im replacing the hood on my biocube and want to go with t5 can anyone suggest one under 200 that can support sps thanks

 

What sized Biocube? If it is a 29 then any quality 2 bulb fixture will do. Any 4 bulb fixture will work but you may need to raise it off of the tank a good distance.

Personally, 2 T5 bulb fixture isn't enough light for too many sps. Some montis, sure... but if you want to keep any kind of acro.. 2 bulbs will not be enough. I actually use to have a 2 bulb t5 fixture on a 10gal tank!! You would figure it would be enough... like I said... my montis did fine, but when I got my first acro, which was a millepora, it started fading and turning brown in less than a week! I figured it was just the coral and got a staghorn, it also started fading. That's when I upgraded to a 4 bulb T5 fixture and the colors all came back. Now everything is in a 20gal with 4 bulb T5 fixture and 2 LED strips and everything is doing great! I really would not suggest only 2 bulbs for 29gal. Personally I suggest 4 bulbs only because of the experience I had with this exact problem. I have the AquaticLife 4x24w with a blue LED strip and a Purple LED strip. 2 Blue plus bulbs, A Coral plus and an Aquablue special. All ATI bulbs. All my acros are doing great! Had them under this lighting for roughly a month.
