    You may still find some ballasts around, but overdriving is not necessary for mixed reef aquariums or SPS only aquariums for that matter with quality equipment and bulbs. You do not need to overdrive if you use 6 bulbs on a 75. You shouldn't need to overdrive a four bulb unit.

    Yeah 2in10 is spot on when it comes to T5 lighting. I ended up frying some corals in my 75 when I switched my 6 bulb unit to the top of the line bulbs. A 4 or 6 bulb unit should work and you definitely will not need to overdrive.

    Ok, im still new to the T5 world and just want to make sure that I will have enough light and par in there. I found out too that my ballast is a triade.

    Triad are good ballasts

    I have a Workhorse ballast...does the job...and its cheap.

    Thats what I was seeing. How do I know if I have good reflectors?

    They should be individual and look like mirrors. They should have a parabolic shape. Can you take a pic of the fixture and post it? That will help us lot. The mirror should be formed like a scallop at the worst.

    Sorry it took so long, I was away for a few days. Any ways if this works, cuz i have never posted a pic here, this is the reflector. Sorry if its hard to see.

    That looks like it is a decent reflector. Just a hint for taking pics of reflectors aim down the lengeth of the fixture at an angle to it. It will help the camera find its focus better.
