tamato Clownish

I have a tamato Clownish is it normal for the fish to dig a bed like hole in the back of my tank and what i think he is sleeping and he is on his side and he is not dead lol

 

I haven't seen mine sleep in the hole, but it does dig a hole with his tail. I can fill it in, and he'll just do it all over again. He won't stop until he has cleared the sand down to the glass.

But do Fish sleep?

 

Yes fish sleep and perfectly normal for clown fish to disturb the sand and appear to sleep in a depression.

I have a Tomato Clown, he dosnt dig... at the moment, but sometimes early in the morning he'll be floating on top of the water, sleeping I guess. But hes not sick, swims around during the day, eats fine, I guess theyre just weird fish.
