this family includes surgeonfishes, unicornfishes and sawtails
they are unique in having spines on the base of their tails which are used for defence
a few are venomous and all can inflict painful wounds

this does not "say that any particular one is venomous" it just says "a few"
on all of the fish that appear to the link you left .

I would like to see some writing on toxins if any emitted from the tail blade area' ( as we were discussing ) ' any and to what "particular" fish / ( SURGEON'S )

your link that you so kindly left to me TO THE "SURGEONS" fish and on every photo it says >

this family includes surgeonfishes, unicornfishes and sawtails
they are unique in having spines on the base of their tails which are used for defence
a few are venomous and all can inflict painful wounds

    ------------------------------------------------------
it says a "few" meaning that or any particular one may or may not be VENOMOUS "

With any extra large tang especially a yellow that was allowed to dominate a tank there is noting ever going to live in there that is smaller.. I'd take the yellow %&^%^& and flush it or not ! just toss it the watercloset may not be able to take it..

ok guys thanks for al the info def what i was looking for, i think what i'm going to do is try another pbt and maybe a naso maybe adding two will mess with the tang and try moving rock and maybe making a devider up, and leave it in there for a few days and see what happens if there is some aggression then get the yt out, My LFS only had one left at the time and he said he might not get anymore for awhile do to HI passing a law for exporting fish.

You can order a little, cheap in-tank refugium online and put'em in there.

You want to keep him try to rearrange the rocks in the tank. I have done it in the past and it was almost like introducing them into a new tank at the same time. I had a purple, yellow eye kole, and blue hippo all introduced at different times. The purple would harass for a day but they would each then pick a new territory and stay there.
