Tang Swollen Mouth/Lips

I got a lavender tang on wednesday and yesterday i noticed that his lips are swollen and he cant close his mouth. Today it hasnt gotten worse or better and he hasnt eaten any nori, pellets or mysis but he is constantly picking on the rocks and glass. Any ideas on what this could be and how i could treat it or if i need to treat it. Thanks

 

Could it be a battle injury? I've had other fish that this had happend to but it was from fights.some healed on their own some sadly did not...but good luck and bump for more info

 

May be from picking at rocks and glass looking for algae. I would suggest Nori or marine algae sheets asap.

 

its not from any battle wounds im pretty positive and i have tried nori numerous times already but no luck. maybe i should attach it to a rock instead of the algae clip?
