Hi guys, I just went ahead and got a mimic brown or a mimic lemonpeel... I am wishing I had a acclimate box to let the other fish get used to him and prevent the new fish fight/dance.

So here is the question... I currently had a Naso about 3.5 and a mystery wrasse, and just added the mimic tang. The naso didnt wast any time being an a$$. Hes got him a little banged up in the 6 hrs he's been in the tank... Will they get over this or will this not stop till ones dead or incapacitated?

Heres the catch... the DT is only a 75 for now...i know they will outgrow the tank as am I... within the next year I would like to have atleast a 150... so what i am wondering is will they likely come to an agreement and get along once they feel each-other out?

Let it fly tang police... the only reason i considered this is the fact that there is only these thee fish in the tank and I am not planning on making this a long term living situation.

No, in that tank the naso will likely kill alot of fish you put in.

thats what i was afraid of... naso had put a decent hurting on the other guy already and he doesnt look like he even has his tail spines yet, but the mimic has his for sure. and theyre almost exactly the same length.

I Guess i should get rid of the naso since he's healthy as a horse and will be the one to outgrow the tank anyway. They're probably a good one to add last so they're humble from the get go huh?

Looks like i have to catch him now huh?!?!?! :-/:-/:-/ Good thing i was planning on doing some "remodeling" anyways...

Anyone want a Naso... 3.5-4" healthy pretty sure female great colors (hawaii)
would trade for a couple anthias or a little clown... don't have many fish planned for this tank till it grows.

naso aren't a particularly aggressive fish, but it is a fish that grows to a foot and a half in a small tank. I think its a good idea to rehome it.

I have had success limiting aggression from my yellow tang to my cbb my turning lights off for a day. This won't stop the aggression over night but it will give the new comer a few hours of peace.

That is a very general statement....You need to do more research before you make a statement like that. I know that you have been on here for awhile, and it surprises me that you said that. Tangs will fight, but to say that a Naso will kill every or a lot of fish is totally false. I housed a Naso with several other tangs, and breeds.

Case and point....I have 2 tangs that are fighting right now...longer than usual. A Kole, and an Orange fin. It has been 2 weeks, and they are still after it, but that is the way it is in nature. They will eventually respect each others space.
