    My 46 gal has been circulating saltwater with aragonite sand for about 2 1/2 weeks now. I just added 45 lbs of LR and 20 lbs. of LS a week and a half ago. I have been testing and ammonia & nitrite are at zero. My nitrate is at 2. Is my cycling complete or is this a false reading? I even bought a second ammonia test kit just to double check.

    it's still doing its thang...i would wait several more weeks until saying it's cycled!!

    8-12 weeks is a safe bet for cycle completion.

    +1 to both. Also, the cycle would not have started until you added the rock and live sand, so that first week and a half there wasn't much going on
