YouTube - Ferrari 360 modena walk around video - tubi & hyper flow cats

For those interested, this is the car. The video is posted by the guy who sold the car to my buddy a few weeks ago. He has lots of other videos posted of this Ferrari and a few others that he owns.

It was really pretty wild to ride in. It feels like you're flying even when you're only going 50mph but it will go 50 to 100+ in the blink of an eye and still doesn't feel like you're going much faster than 50 or 60mph.

I'm still waiting on a quota from the Pic Police but here is a start.

They custom built a dolly to move the stand from truck into house. Normally they build the dolly the same height as the stand so that they can just slide the tank over but my tank is over 7' high when sitting on the stand and my doors are only 6'8" so they had to make a lower dolly.

You may be able to see the wooden threshold at the base of the doors. It's less than an inch high but it was enough that the top of the tank smashed into the wood at the top of the doors the first time we tried to come through. We tried to remove the threshold but it's integrated into the door. After a bit of scrathing our heads and the delivery crew learing that, no my wife would not allow them to just use a SawzAll on her new french doors, I figured out a solution. By sliding the tank back on the dolly, we were able to get the dolly's front wheels over the threshold with the tank still outside. We then slid the tank forward on the dolly and had about 1mm to spare. after the tank was all the way through the doors, we were able to bump the back wheels over the threshold.

My chief aquascaper is excited to finally have the tank here. For scale, he's about 5' tall and the the air hockey table is 8' long.

Oh man, now I've got the green light.

For the truely hardcore, I even took pictures of the overflows. There's black acrylic covering them and at first I wondered why the acrylic was set so far away from the inside of the overflows. Then I realized that it was just flush against the outside of the 1" thick glass. If the holes look odd it's because of how the bottom of the tank is constructed. There's a 1/2" sheet of acrylic laminated underneath the 1" thick glass and then another 1/2" sheet of acrylic on top. the bottom piece makes it a heck of a lot easier to slide this tank that weighs 1700# empty. The top sheet affords some protection against falling rocks and the lamination effect makes the whole thing stronger.
