If you can reach you hand in at all a tube/hose on the end of the caulking tube can be used to seal the inside of the overflow.

Aside from that laying a decent bead in the exact pattern of the overflow then press the overflow into it and "bead" the outside.

Personally a tank that small I would just buy a new one. The time and aggravation that it will take to redo is insane. For the end result of a possible leak.

    But best of luck.

Nah it's not that hard a job.. Either that or I've done it too many times to think it's hard anymore.. LOL..

Have always resealed with GE Silicone I Window and Door.. (Blue Tube)
Tanks sealed this way over the years range from custom 5Gals (36"x6"x6") right up to the largest I helped a local club member with at 300Gal.

Utility knife blades or Single sided razor blades
    Paper towels
Vinegar and water solution in a "windex bottle"
    masking tape (painters tape)
    caulking gun
GE Silicone I W&D.. (enough to reseal and have extra, running out SUCKS, unopened extras can be returned or stored)

If it was just a common tank I would do just that. The only tank available with the same dimensions is the oceanic tech tank which is fairly expensive and not very common, at least around my area.

It really doesn't seem like a difficult job just one you need to be very detail oriented. I ordered several tubes of silicone last night and already have all of the other supplies. I'm going to give it a shot. I will just leave it full of fresh water in my garage for a while to make sure I don't have any leaks. Of course if I happen to come upon a deal on another tank like it that I can't refuse.....
