my apoligies....i deleted the post....i just thought it made more sense to ask it here since it was along the same lines instead of creating yet another thread asking something similar to this one....like how there are 50000 thread asking the same thing.

So the RO/DI Unit runs 24/7?
Or you just run it through the bucket of water before you dump it in there?

    Thanks again!

most people have valves plumbed to them so they can turn them on and off.
they say the amount of gallons per day they put out
they run into a container of some sort(good water), and then bad water runs into the drain.

no you just turn it on when you want to make some ro/di water.
I fill two 5 gallon water bottles once a week (to use for top off and such). you hook it up to your existing water and when you want to use it you turn it on or hook up a auto top off valve and it turns off and on automatically when your tank needs water.

sostoudt beat me to it! lol

i know how forums work but most forums im on want you to ask your question in an already open thead if they are about the same exact thing.....just makes the site look better overall and not so many thread asking the same thing....but ill keep that in mind how it works a little different over here. :)
