    Hello,

I've having an issue with my temp . In the mornings the temperature is 24.5C around 8:30am and then when i arrive home the temp is around 25.5C - 2.8C

I have two heaters in my sump which are set at 25 degrees.. Room temp is 19 Degree C

Never had this issue with my other tank :/

    I have LED lights..

    Thoughts?

hmm might be due to the leds, but either way I dont think its that big of a deal, in fact it might even be a good thing if the temp. drops at night. in the wild I think the waters get a little cooler too so if anything you kinda recreating their natural habitat. id be worried if there was a 5 or more degree difference. but interesting to see what others have to say.

could be many reasons, leds work less hard at night, temperature in your house drops at night etc etc. how many liters is it? my 450 l has 2 heaters in the display (one in each opposite corner) its tough work to keep such a water volume at a constant stable 25°C i too have about a 1 degree drop through out the day

300 liter in DT and 30-40 liter in the sump ( i think )

I have both 200W and 300W in the sump.

also keep in mind that at night there is less oxygen in the tank, so cooler water in theory would allow the preservation of more oxygen in the system, again a good thing...even if a 1°c change might not have that big of an impact

Need to know more about the tank. Is it an open top? What kind of pump? How close to the water are the LEDs, and how powerful/ what type? Also, is that 25.8 or 28? I think there is a typo. 28 is fine actually for a reef. 24.5 is actually a bit on the cool side. Raising your heater set-point a bit should stabilize it if that is the goal. If the goal is just to run cool, for whatever reason, then you need to think about the above questions. Also, are you sure one of the heaters isn't sticking on. That seems to happen all too often, but may be less likely to notice with two, if they are undersized individually.

Try a different pump temporarily so you can compare heat issues. Many pumps tend to run hotter than others, I have found this many times especially with Mag and Queit One pumps. Also I find MaxiJet powerheads runs very hot in small nano systems.
