Mine is ~78 during the day and ~76 during the night. There were 2 weeks this summer were it was 82-83 straight with no effects.

I decided to keep mine in the 77-80 range. Don't want the chiller on too often for noise and power consumption. It is running 78-79 on its own with the house a/c set at 74.

    Thanks

76-79. Every now and then it hits 80. At which point I turn on a fan, but this is rare. I keep the house at 74-76.

I don't know of any evidence that supports this but some that doesn't.

My tank stays between 77 and 79. I too have seen evidence that the reef temperatures fluctuate. Not just from night to day but also in different seasons. I have found that most of my corals do better when the temps are in the higher range.

Oh and I keep my house between 74 and 76. We have had temps in the 100's for quite a few days already this summer and I have not had any problems with the tank. Also, I do NOT run a chiller....2 small fans above the DT and 1 on the sump that we have turned off.

Mine runs at 79-81. I have up to 1500 w of lights on it so I have to keep my room at 73. A couple of fans and most importantly external pumps helps me get by with no chiller.
