huh that's strange... i assume you would have noticed if the sand bed had gotten stirred up and would have mentioned it... I'd def see if the LFS can hold the lion hopefully until you figure this out. Have them test your water while you're at it. guess, we'll go from there.

I would replace the ammonia kit and get more surface agitation to help with gas exchange since your pH is so low. Check your salinity also. I agree with possible stray voltage too. Air out the house to get rid of the accumulated CO2 should help with your pH.

well, the day before yesterday one of the powerheads fell off and was shooting into the sand bed for idk how long at night. So that might also be adding to it. Going to bring the water to the LFS tonight.

I am guessing it was just stress.

I have tons of surface agitation. The previous salt mix i had mixed to around 7.8ph. junk. i now have reef crystals. and the ph reading was in the AM right after lights had come on.

OK the pump falling into the sand could be a likely cause. I would still air out the house to see if the pH will bump up.

The ac is on... doesn't that circulate the air? its central air, not sure if it just recirculates the air or what.

It just recirculates not exchanges. You need to exchange the air to see any benefits. An hour or two will work wonders if done daily.

I think that is a good idea to remove some of what is bothering your fish. Try adding new carbon also.
