what are the three things you need to text your water before adding fish i did just add liverock a day ago
and i have the ph tester

i remember someone telling me before but i can not find the post

 

if you just added LR , ammonia,nitrite and nitrate kits are a must

 

+1 ^ You need to wait til you see a spike in ammonia. After the spike wait until ammonia and nitrite return to zero before adding and livestock.

 

when you say livestock do you mean fish and solf corals or also liverock?

 

Fish and corals mainly. Add the rock now if you can. Adding it later could cause a small cycle again, depending on die off.

 

ya the rock is in as of lastnight

 

after you finished cycling , i found its best to add your CUC. a week or so after that , add your 1st fish. corals i would wait a little longer
