Thanks, for the impromptu review. K+ Those are some good things to know and I will take into consideration. You should do a formal writeup if you can. I'm sure that everyone on here will greatly appreciate it.

Im one of them. Still the Apex Jr would be my choice tho. Initial low cost is very attractive for me. You can add on later as your tank grows or simply as you need.

Nice! You are gonna like it!

^ mine stopped moving by the time I swapped the pump. Now it's running with Mag3 and the flow/tumble looks like the initial set up, which is like this (maybe a bit slower):

Good luck with the mod. Let me know if you have any questions/issues, ok?

What size drill bit did you use for the holes?

hmmmm.. you know what JB, I dont know.. It was the only bit I had and I just made sure that the holes were big enough so the pellets wont get stuck inside of the pipe.

so big enough that pellets can flow in and out of the pipe? do you think boiling water and sticking the PVC in the water for a couple min is enough to slide it in the top of the hole in the top?

Yes, the holes have to be big enough so the pellets could go through without getting stuck. For time to tome, the pellets make it to the inside of the pipe (when you add the pellets, or whatnot). If the holes are not big enough they'll stay inside and clog the holes.
And no the boiling water (100F) is not gonna cut it unfortunately. Is there some kind of torch or heatgun? I used a cooking stove for camping in the closed garage (please dont do this. Do it outside). BBQ lighter might work, but you might need an extra hand from somebody else.
