The discussion about the rubbermaid sump/stock tank reminded me of my old stock tank that was turned into soup. So I started looking for a pic of it, couldnt find a pic, but I did find a video of it when I first set it up. Not much in it and not very organized either.

The old stock tank was a 110g Tuff Tubs Livestock tank, 51x34x20. I had a Hamilton Tech. 2x175w MH and 2x95w VHO over it.

If it wasnt for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

I am considering possibly putting that stock tank back together cause it just makes more sense to have that going then a bunch of little tanks. I have since sold the light for it, tossed the heater that shattered and need to cook the liverock I had in it. Ive came across 200lbs of southdown sand to redo the bottom if I did start it up again. No, I wouldnt use 200lbs of sand cause there is no need for that much, but its available if I need it for something. I still have the light frame I made to hold a 36" light fixture thats bolted to the top of the tank so I can just buy another 34-37" light fixture. The reason why the light fixture is only 36" is because you dont need light over the liverock filtration, cause you just want it for bacteria, not for show, and you dont need light covering the protein skimmer.I have the frame centered on the tank covering the whole widest point of the tank. I have roughly 8" on both side the frame available for whatever else I need to put in it. You can see in the vido how much space I had around the light.

This time around, I will not be using a glass heater if I set it up. hahahaha
