I'm gonna agree with others and say that is WAY to small for a shark tank. It would work while they're babies, but they will outgrow it within a year. For example the banded cat shark will grow to be 2.5 to 3 feet.

I agree with above posts on the tang. Great pickup by the way.

nevertheless, a tang needs a tank of at least 75G.

but naso should have at least 150G. IMO. ( i know 180g is the most wise choice for a minimum but i think a naso would do just fine on a 150g)

i think thats a better wording method for what i meant ;D

A RSM 130 is 130 liters, so about 34 gallons is right. I'm not even gonna mention the tang; it's already pretty well covered.

I think he's calling it his "shark" tank... no actual shark. At least that's my guess.
75g for a naso would be rough too. After all the research I did on Naso Tangs (I really wanted a blonde naso), I concluded at least 125g tank would be needed for an adult, which crossed it off my 90g list :(. I heard even 75g tanks create behavior problems down the road, and 90g isn't much different so I avoided that. Just my opinion though.

the title is just a name, lol SJ sharks play in the shark tank. thats why i named the thread like that

as for the tang, i know the tang will out grow the tank, this is only temporary. i am hoping to get a bigger tank in the future once i settle in, or i will let someone with a bigger tank have him.

See, the thing is, tangs (especially naso/acanthurus) can grow really fast. Like, 70% + of their adult size in a year. They just can't do that in a tiny tank.
