lol this i highly doubt but its possible. The LEDs will never be outdated because you can simply replace them just pop one out and another in :)

nah check out the price of any one of the high-end LED fixtures that have been out for more then a year the price hasnt changed. why would one of the best fixtures on the market change then? ;) All fairness this thread is really about the features not the price of my fixture, but if you have a Vertex fixture please chime in on the features.

Yes it is one you see how much everything in your reef improves just over the first month with LEDs its worth making the switch.

Now that the thread is completely jacked I'll add this...

I wouldn't call T5's slummin' LOL It's a proven coral growing bulb along with halides. I grew amazing sps under a quality 6 bulb fixture.

I have over $500 in DIY LED parts sitting behind me in boxes because I'm apprehensive about getting rid of the halides completely. I know LED's grow coral and give good color but I haven't seen them grow coral as well as the other two mentioned sources.

My radions (with homage to the OP) can be programmed for t-storms and at 45% grew coral better than 4 t5's

Yeah I am not into spending that much cash though, I am like Lilysgrandad, gotta budget.... ;D

The reef angel seems like a great deal overall and I currently do not BUT do want a controller sooo....

With the LED's, I will keep my eyes pealed for the right answer for me. AI sols seem to be have the price of Radions and I recently seen a Kessil a130w that looked amazing on a tank. Not too sure if I have a "cannon" style setup tough. Matbe DIY if I can find a 48" black heatsink... But, I know nothing about DIY lighting lol
