    Hydrometers and refractometers are inaccurate because of temperature differences. If you mix some salt, measure the salinity and the temp is not the same as your tank, then it will not be accurate. Make sure your refractometers have built-in ATC, automatic temperature compensation. Most new ones do.

    I'm actually in the Rolla area. I'm a student at the university. The walmart in town has a fill-up station that is RO water. It's inside at the end of the freezer section by the produce.

    Have a plan, ask fellow reefers if the plan will work modify it if it doesnt work and go from there. I will always listen now and not do noobie mistakes like I did with my plumbing and sump/fuge. Now I listenend and my tank is just awesome (well at least to me, not as purty as your guys but its getting there)

    I also prefer a Hydrometor over a refrac, If you will take the hydro and run luke warm water through it for a few minutes in the kitchen then rinse it out with diss water it will have a pretty close to accurate reading. NONE of them are truly accurate only close.
