I wouldn't worry about it yet :p Its getting used to the lighting and it'll probably shed soon. Make sure its got some flow around it.

i just directed one of the powerheads towards that side of the tank and it seems a little more lively since I did that more polyps came out hopefully it makes it through would hate to see it die and would def hate to see 75 bucks down the drain.

Looks fine to me! Many times they will change their appearance, whether due to light, nutrient level, sloughing etc. I don't see black band disease or tissue necrosis or any other disease per say! Water movement is an important key as MDeth stated!

Have faith...every toadstool I have added to tank over years (only last about a year or two as they get so big) - has acted the same.

Seems they don't like adrupt changes in temp, salinity, etc...

They always perk up after a day or so..

It can take up to 2 weeks for it to fully open up. I was nervous the first time mine did that. When I had that big loss awhile back, it was one of the corals that died. However I have 3 pieces I cut off of it before it was totally dead, so I now have 3 2-3" toadstools of it. Fragging those are super easy too.

dose with iodine before and after. Dose after with 1/4 dose of the bottle says every other day for 8 days. It all depends on how many you want, haha. If you want a bunch, cut the whole head off, it will regrow a new one. Take the head and cut it into however many pieces you want. I cut mine into 1" pieces. The bigger the piece, the quicker it grows to a decent size for resell or trading (usually about 2 months). OR cut one big piece off the head, and then divide that piece up the same way you would if it was the whole the head. Get some plastic toothpicks and stab strait thru the pieces and stick them into the substrate in a low flow are. Once you the polyps come back out, move them into a higher flow area.
