...I'll drive it if it needs to be driven. Kind of like taking a dog for a walk while the owner is unable to do so. So, can I take your beautiful white 1994 V8 puppy for a walk? :D

Why bother sleeping off the meds? Being on meds is fun in its own little way. The strategic thing to do would be to try to go to sleep right before the meds wear off, so then you'll be asleep when the pain comes in. If you're like me, you can sleep through anything. So as long as you're asleep when the meds wear off, you whould be ok for a few hours :p

And get well soon...your grammar sucks with only one arm.

Trust me, there are pains that all the wonderful drugs in the world will not blunt enough to be tolerable.

In all seriousness, best of wishes on the recovery. Last check with the docs said that some serious shoulder and wrist surgery is in my future in the next 5-10 years, you handling this makes me a little less neurotic about it.

yeah on the vette u can drive it with $10k down :)

the pain sucked when i came out of surgery the first nerve block had never taken effect and yeah it hurt like none other
got a 2nd nerve block that is still in effect and already taking perkeset also to keep it managed if the pain gets ahead of the meds it can take 2-3 cycles of meds to catch back up (2-3 cycles = 8-12 hours)

I feel you on that, brother. I had a nasty knee injury as a kid and then a shattered foot as a teen. When recouping the ankle I missed a dose of meds and it was hell to regain control of it.

Stay strong and remember pain is temporary, glory is forever and chicks dig scars

I feel for ya, Iraf. My shoulders dislocate if I move my arms in an awkward position. It's painful enough, but to hear the bones crunching around through sound conduction thru the skeleton is another added terror.

Be well. Recover fast, and do what the physical therapist tells you to--no matter how painful. It's all for your benefit.

Joint pain is right up there with kidney stones.

Hang in there. Just don't use your arms to do so. :)
