He's doing ok. Still has pain from the nerve condition that he's developed as a result of the injury but that might be with him for the rest of his life :(

Just remember......pain is mearly weakness leaving the body. Don't know who said that, but I know it doesn't do me any good to hear it either. Just thought I would pass on the love!!!!!

If anybody asks, just tell them you got stabbed saving a flaming schoolbus full of orphans from an attacking band of Ninjas.

    Totally believable foolproof plan.

I tell ya, that surgeon is an artist. Typically the stitches are closer from hole to hole (each stitch), bringing the holes closer to the incision. Instead, he/she made them further away. That's pretty cool. Instead of micro-managing the cut, coercing the wound to heal by sewing the heck out of it, yours are more natural--more of coaxing the skin not to part; rather than wiring it tighter than a fuel cap. In the long run, the holes will experience less pull, and the scar might not even be visible.

Sorry about the rant. Hopefully some of that made sense.

Nice work. A true artist. Of course, many times, the surgeon doesn't do the stitching and it's the nurse. Whoever did it, it's lovely to look at.

Man, my fiance is an ophthalmologist (eye Surgeon) and you should see the kind of work they do. It's really unbelievable that they can do so much in such a little space. Surgeons really are artists.
So glad that everything worked out fine BTW.
