I have a 55gallon with about 40-50lbs of live rock, foxface, powder brown. ,clean up crew, snowflake eel, 2feather dusters, and 2mushrooms. I have around 1700gph flowing threw my tank. Do you think this is too much? Also I'm sure the live rock takes away from the actual water gallon by 5-10 so i'm guessing its 40-50gallons of actual water.

No that is fine, it will let you keep any coral you want as long as you find a flow area to match the coral's needs.

I agree your flow is fine. I would be more worried about your selection of fish and the immense bioload you have on such a small tank.
