Ask your LFS if they can get one for you. I called around until I found one the size I wanted and then sent hubby on a 45 minute drive for one.

    lol nice!!

What's wrong with a kenya BTW! Mine is beautiful and unlike everything I've read it's not going sexual and dropping babies everywhere either...it's just growing up!

give it time.... my kenya does not stop dropping babies, its getting harder to find places to put them :)

Water params are decent: amm 0, nitrite 0 and nitrates 10. My params are very stable, temp never leaves 78-79, PH at 8.3-8.4, and i have honestly never seen the sg at anything other than 1.0245. Really the only thing thats changes is our nitrates, which have been steadily dropping over the past month or so after the addition of a good skimmer.

The torch looks great. Has been happily waving in the gentle flow since the day I brought it home, until the clown starting messing with it.
As far as the kenya tree, I just have always found them to be an unattractive coral (puts up sheild to gaurd against kenya groupies ;)). Just not my thing I guess.

As far as I know, there is no reef club here. The LFS will take frags, but wont trade or issue store credit. Its also the only store within 180 miles, so basically if they dont have it or cant/wont get it, I gotta order it.

Im going to try a few things with my situation before I do anything. I have moved the torch to the yellow tailed damsel side of the tank (oh yes, the clowns and damsels have established their own sides). Maybe they clowns wont go after it if its not in their territory. Ive also noticed their behavior towards each other seems to be "frisky" as of late. Maybe their little love fest will pass and they wont be as inclined to try to host something?
Ive also heard some things about creating artificial spaces they will host that some breeders use, that might also be worth a shot.

I won my Kenya Tree in a raffle or I wouldn't have it. I actually won 2 that day and gave the other one away.

Maybe a plastic anem?? It'll look like crap but give them something until you come up with a solution.

Maybe a large frilly mushroom? They might like a zoa rock as well, I've seen mine rolling around in a patch I have that came in on the LR but we've already established that my clown is of the "love the one your with" philosophy, he'll roll around in anything.

I have thought about a plastic anemone. They sell some that they use in breeding that are pretty realistic looking, although they aren't cheap.
I have a few frags of zoa's and polyps that have been in the tank a while, the clowns dont seem to show any interest. A big mushroom might be good though, I have wanted some nice mushrooms from the get-go anyways ;)

My GSM clown has hosted in my torch and my frogs pawn since I got it with no bad effects at all. I know everyone says its not a good thing but since there has not been any problems I am not going to bother with it. In fact both of the corals have gotten about 4 heads each in the last few months.

I have a pair of False Perc's that host in a large green frilly mushroom that I have the only problem is when the light go off the mushroom's tend to shrink and the clowns don't seem to understand so they kind of panic once in a while and zip around the tank looking for somewhere to hide till the lights come back on...

I had heard that leathers don't mix well with SPS corals because they release toxins. Is this always the case?

Are some leathers more SPS friendly than others? For example: are toadstool leathers SPS safe?
